As part of LGBT History Month, historian Nick Dobson will be presenting an overview of gay literature at Wanstead Library on 13 February (6.30pm; free).

"Dating back to classical mythology, homosexuality has been a feature of literature... Many of our foremost writers have been homosexual and the late 19th and early 20th centuries witnessed the emergence of some of the greatest gay writers in history," said Nick, whose talk will look at the lives and careers of Oscar Wilde, EM Forster, Wilfred Owen and Virginia Woolf.
